Juan de Fuca Trail - Day I - 28.8.2006

Our trip started early in the morning in Victoria with the Trailbus, the bus in itself is already an adventure....we arrived at the trailhead to the Juan de Fuca Trail around 8 am. The Trail is located on southwest Vancouver Island.
Maybe I should introduce you the two people on the pciture, left Ellen and right my brother Simon

Soon we arrived at the first beach

Hiking along the beach is great...

during the nights we had to lock our food into these boxes because of the bears and cougars in this area
