Portland Roadtrip 10.-14.5.2007 - Day 2

I started the day with a run along the Grayland Beach, Washington and after that we had a bath in the ocean...still little cold but refreshing!

and after we had breakfast it was time for the road again....

short picture break in Raymond, Washington

Long Beach, Washington. This is the skeleton of a Gray Whale

Lunch break in the old town Astoria, it´s located at the end of the Columbia River which divides the two states Washington and Oregon.

in Astoria, Oregon we stoped for some Fish and Chips and just checked out the city for a while

Once we got to Oregon the coast got more rocky.
Little viewpoint along the highway, on the picture you can see Nehalem Beach where we also stayed for the night.
Nehalem Beach, Oregon

these americans are so scared of a Tsunami...escape route signs all over the highway and signs that warn you....
on the way to the beach to check out the sunset
and here it is...sweet sunset at the Oregon Coast!
