West Coast Trail - 21.-27.7.2007 Day 3

our campsite at Camper Bay, today will be our longest day on the trail...we left at 8 in the morning and arrived around 7pm...1 hours...almost no breaks. the trail today was very very muddy, wet, slippery, lots of up and down, tons of roots over that we had to climb and like usual ladders and cable cars....ohja and I forgot to mention...rain!

around 7 am just after I got up

Lan gets ready for the big hike today...taking care of her blisters was important

still in good mood...haha at least for the picture

here we go up and down the ladders, some of them 60 feet high with one time 6 in a row down and then the same up on the other side of the creek

quick photo stop at a beach access

suspension bridge at Logan Creek, after that bridge we had to climb up a waterfall and then use the ladder, while we were climbing up the water was pouring down on us...
yes and ypu can see right, the sun came out late in the afternoon. it was finally time to dry

and then after 11hours on the trail through the forest we hit the beach at Walbran Creek where we stayed for the night. here we met a lot of exhausted people...some of them were in really bad shape and we kind of worried if they would make it to the end.
fire to dry our shoes
