Gun Lake - 3.-6.8.2007 Day 1

another roadtrip...actually my last one before I head out on my big tour...
this time, Lan, Dimitri and me headed out on Friday morning to Gun Lake, a lake located about 2 hours northwest of Lillooet, BC and about an 7 hour drive from Vancouver, BC

here we stop for a late lunch in Lillooet

after 7 hours we arrive in Golden, BC, population 43 people.....the last 2 hours we drove on Logging Roads with a car that was built for a life in the city...yeah but we made it even tough we had to drive through millions of wholes on the road

and finally at Gun Lake, I´ve heard about a lot about this lake and Erna told me lots of stories about it. But I have to admit I was really impressed how nice it is in real....

every morning I sat outside in the sun and just enjoyed the beautiful scenery

Dimitri and me took the boat out on the lake and tried our luck with fishing

the only store up there in Gold Bridge, they charde you almost twice the price from the city...

today we had to drive back to Vancouver...

just before Gold Bridge we saw a bear in the bushes

Lillooet, BC

Lytton where the Fraser River and the Thompson River merge, it´s a dessert out there...sand, rockes and hot

oh man I love these long highways without any cars!

Firework China - 1.8.2007

another Firework night, today with Lizl, Sarah and Ray. We went out for Japanese food before that. we ordered some pretty exotic dishes like octopus and raw salmon...

we found a nice spot on the beach at Spanish Banks, sourounded by thousands of other people





Today it was China's turn, I think way better show than Canada! Bigger effects, just more impressive than the one on Saturday night
